Returns, Repairs, And Exchanges
Vogt Silversmiths strives to provide exceptional customer service and product satisfaction. If for any reason you do not wish to keep your Vogt purchase, a customer has 30-days to return the product for credit or exchange.
Vogt Silversmiths encourages customers to provide the original packing list that was received with the product or a copy of the packing list. If that is not available, please leave a note in the box with your full contact information and intentions (return, exchange, repair…).
Please note that custom orders and special orders are not eligible for a refund. If you have a question regarding a custom or special-order product, please contact our Customer Service Team, at 800-344-7457.
If your belt needs to be exchanged for another size, Vogt Silversmiths offers an equal exchange for 30-days after you receive your belt. Thebelt cannot be worn or damaged/altered in any way. Please note if your original belt had a tip screwed on by Vogt, you may be offered a maximum of one (1) exchange offer.

Vogt Silversmiths offers a lifetime guarantee on our silver products. If your Vogt product has any type of wear and tear or damage, you can send it in for repair at no additional charge. Vogt Silversmiths also offers repair work on leather products, though a small fee may be required.
When sending in your damaged Vogt piece, please include a note in the box including your full contact and shipping information, as well as what you would like repaired.
If the product is currently carried as a stock item, you may be offered an equal exchange.
Once a repair item is received and processed, the repair process takes approximately 4-6 weeks. Once we begin this process, you will be sent a postcard with an RA number for reference.
Please note: during high traffic times and holidays, the timeline for repairs can extend past the 4-6 week timeframe.
If your Vogt product needs to be returned or exchanged due to an error on our part, we would be more than happy to send a call tag to pick up your product. For more information on this process, please contact our Customer Service Team at 800-344-7457.
If Vogt Silversmiths is not at fault, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Upon placing an order with Vogt Silversmiths, you will be notified by email that your order has been received. Once the order has been received, your order will be processed within 24 hours, unless an item is not in inventory. In this situation, the customer will be notified of the status of the order and provided additional information regarding the delivery of product.
Vogt Silversmiths contracts with USPS and UPS carriers to deliver our Vogt Silversmiths products to your home or post office box.
We understand that the timely delivery of product is important to our Vogt customers and in response to this, we offer a variety of shipping methods to meet your needs.
Customers are able to select from the following shipping methods:
1. SAVER (USPS 7-10 DELIVERY)
2. PREMIUM (3-5 BUSINESS DAYS)
3. SELECT (2 BUSINESS DAYS)
4. URGENT OVERNIGHT (NEXT BUSINESS DAY)

If for any reason a customer is dissatisfied with their selection, the product maybe be returned for credit or exchange deducting the cost of shipping.
If a customer needs to return a product for repair the inbound shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer and Vogt Silversmiths will return the product replacement at our expense.

For all orders over $100.00, Vogt Silversmiths offers free Saver shipping, with the option to upgrade for expedited shipping at checkout. All orders under $100.00 and international orders will be required to pay shipping at checkout.
If there is any issue or error with your order, please contact our Customer Service Team, at 800-344-7457, as soon as possible. If the order has not been shipped, we can immediately cancel or modify your order to suit your needs.
If the order has already shipped, then you will still be able to return or exchange the product once you receive it.
If you cancel your order, the refund process will begin immediately. If you are returning a product, we will notify you that we have received your returned item once your return is received and inspected. Refunds will be credited to the account that was used for the initial purchase.
If the item has already been shipped, the cost of shipping will be discounted from the amount refunded.
Please note, once the credit has been issued to your credit card account it may take between 3-7 business days for the transaction to appear on your account. The duration is based upon the practices of your banking institution and is not within the control of Vogt Silversmiths.

The first step to start a custom order is visit our Custom Orders page to download the My Custom PDF and sketch out a design. A few buckle shapes are offered as options, and you can also reference any products from our custom gallery or website.
Once the sketch is complete, send your sketch with your materials choices and measurement description along with any photos to firstname.lastname@example.org. After we receive your email, we will contact you as soon as possible with a quote.
To make the custom process efficient, please try to be as detailed as possible on design, details, and materials. A sample form is available for reference.
Once Vogt Silversmiths has received your design, we will create a digital mockup of your design. A representative from our Customer Service team may reach out to clarify aspects of the design. The mockup will also include a quote for your custom order.
Once you receive the mockup you can approve the design or request modifications. Once the design is approved and payment is received, your custom order will go into production.

A rule of thumb is order a belt 2" larger than your pant size. If you wear a 36" pant, we'd recommend ordering a 38" belt. For a definitive size lay your existing belt out flat and measure the distance between the turn back (where the buckle is connected) and the hole you're currently using on that belt. All of Vogt’s belts are measured from the turn back to the third/center hole.
Sterling silver is an international standard compound of silver containing 92.5% by weight of fine silver and 7.5% by weight of other metals, usually copper. Pure silver is too soft and malleable to create long lasting pieces. By adding a small amount of other metals, the durability of the metal is greatly increased with little effect on appearance. Sterling silver is the best of both worlds.
Gold plate means that a very tiny amount of gold has been used to coat a brass base. For a product that is marked as gold plated, the amount of gold is so minuscule it actually doesn’t constitute a measurable component of the product’s total weight—typically just 0.05% or even less!
The slim gold layer is likely to wear off quickly, exposing the brass beneath. These products don’t stand up to time and use or to water and sun exposure. Particularly when it comes to our Western clients who wear our products outdoors, in the arena, and on the job, this is simply not good enough. Vogt does not use gold plate in our products.
Gold fill, on the other hand, is a much more high-quality gold product. A gold-filled product has been constructed from two to three layers of bonded metals. The core is jeweler’s brass, bonded to a gold alloy. The law requires any product described as “gold filled” must be a minimum of 5% (or 1/20) gold by weight. Vogt Silversmiths always uses 10% gold by weight and a high quality 14-karat gold alloy in our gold-filled products.
Gold filled products are designed to keep their shine forever. Unlike gold plated products, gold filled materials are durable and don’t suffer damage or lose their beauty when exposed to sunshine, weather, water, and wear.
All Western belts come with a matching leather buckle and 1-2 keepers. Exotic belts come with a brass buckle.
If a belt and buckle or buckle set is purchased together, we will always contact you to confirm whether you would like your buckle set to be attached.
We will attach your buckle set once we have your permission, as the process may alter the belt.
Silver is a metal that can easily tarnish without proper care. If you do not intend to regularly wear your buckle, do not store it on a belt. It is best to wrap up your silver whenever possible. Do not store near anything with sulfur or rubber. If your silver does tarnish, try cleaning with a smooth cloth before utilizing metal cleaners or polish.
All of Vogt's women's rings are made with a hidden adjustable band, one size fits all. Simply twist the band to tighten or loosen for a perfect fit.
